RSS feeds are the by product of several forms of fresh content and you can use these feeds to keep the content on your website fresh. There are literally thousands of RSS feeds that you can choose from. Even this webblog you are now reading offers an RSS feed through our RSS URL http://www.profitbooks.com/blog/?feed=rss2
Using a free program called CaRP you can easily use these RSS feeds to keep your website content fresh while making your webpages more appealing to the search engines. This software allows you to turn any RSS feed into html on your webpage BEFORE it is served to a browser or search engine robot. This has the effect of making the feed look as if it is hard coded on your webpage which is a biggie with the search engines. (Just don’t use the JavaScript option with CaRP as the search engine spiders don’t read it very well)
So, learn how to install and use CaRP and find yourself some RSS feeds that target your keywords and you’ll find yourself getting better search engine placement and regular visits from the search engine spiders.
