Once again the election cycle finds itself facing an economic crisis square in the face. To have any chance at victory the candidates had better heed the advice given Bill Clinton in 1992, “it’s the economy, stupid”.

So, which candidate, McCain or Obama, has the better plan to help the economy recover? Before we can answer that question we need to know what government can do to help the economy recover.

Today’s mortgage, real estate and wall street crisis starts and stops with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. These agencies approved the loans that should have never been made. They are mostly responsible for changing the rules of sound lending practice and insurability and are responsible for putting America’s economy at risk.

So who allowed these two government backed institutions to run amok? Yesterday, Nancy Pelosi, the Democrat House Majority Leader, snapped at reporters saying, “No”…not us.

I can’t believe YOU have let John McCain’s 5 point lead in the polls after the conventions practically evaporate. We only have a few weeks left until the election and Barack Obama CANNOT be allowed to win the Presidency! The very existance of the United States of American is at stake!

No, I’m not so adamant because I’m a racist. I’m adamant because I’m scared to death what a left wing Congress and a far left President will do to our country!

Robin Hood Obama wants to take from those making over $250,000 and give it to those making less. He is not only going to make the wealthy (and upper middle income earners) plus small businesses pay more taxes but he is going to make them pay enough to fund his “big government” programs plus enough so he can give lower income households a handout. That is a Marxist principal of wealth redistribution practiced in communist societies and rejected by our founding fathers.

Obama has a history of dealing with questionable characters who donate large amounts to his campaign or give him other support. These people all too often find themselves the beneficiary of large government grants or earmarks. Here are a few of those people:

Tony Rezko – The Chicago developer convicted of corruption. Helped Obama purchase his million dollar Chicago home and adjacent property. According to the Chicago Sun Times Rezko and his associates also made donations totaling $168,308 to Obama’s campaigns.
Obama: Barack Obama wrote letters to city and state officials, as an Illinois legislator, in support of Tony Rezko’s successful bid to get more than $14 million from taxpayers to build senior citizen apartments. The funds included $855,000 in development fees for Rezko and his partner, Allison S. Davis, who was Obama’s former boss.
