The final Presidential Debate was held last night. Both candidates have their talking points and canned answers burned into their brains and can recite them in their sleep. Obama tries to make the case for McCain being the same as Bush and McCain ties Obama to his friend Bill Ayers who bombed and murdered innocent Americans three decades ago.

Both Ayers and Dohrn have told Connie Chung in an interview that they are not repentant for their terrorist bombings of federal buildings and the homes of judges including the resulting murders. They even said they are NOT sorry for their actions and wish they had done more.

Once again, in this election cycle the real issue is the economy. Yes, “it’s the economy, stupid.” The economy is in real trouble at the high end and the very low end. If the government hadn’t acted to support bankers who had massive amounts of sub-prime mortgages on their books, the trouble would have spread to the rest of the economy as credit, most likely, would have become unavailable.

Before we can answer the question of which candidate has the better economic plan and track record, we first need to know what government has done to help create this crisis and what can government o to help the economy out of its troubles.

Joe Biden, the Democratic VP nominee, has made a series of misstatements that defy the imagination. Senator Biden has been in the Senate for 3 decades yet he makes errors of historical facts that happened while he was in office and says things that are completely untrue. I’m seriously wondering, is Joe Biden unbalanced?

I don’t think the Senator is trying to lie, I think he actually believes he is making truthful statements. The misstatements range from implying his helicopter was forced down by enemy fire in Afghanistan (actually a snow storm forced them down) to saying the U.S. and France pushed Hezbollah out of Lebanon.
