- Obama Rules - |
Aside from the obvious deception perpetrated on the voters with hypnotic oratory, the new president elect Barack Obama has already begun to play to form. Tax, economic, energy, social and foreign policy are being fine tuned. Plans are being laid to implement policy as quickly as possible through legislative process and executive order.
Now that the fate thrust upon the United States is inevitable let’s concern ourselves with the impact of the coming changes rather than the regressive actions of the policy itself.
Minor tests for President Obama have already appeared from Russia and Iran with new missile deployments and calls for appeasement of Iranian nuclear goals. There will be more. Internationally, both friend and foe are going to test Obama on everything from world order to military will. Far more experienced political leaders will take advantage of the President’s inexperience, domestic turmoil and liberal leanings. Expect Obama to fail many of these tests on a grand scale.
Specifically, I see a likelihood that some actual events are likely to unfold during an Obama presidency.
It is likely, that Obama will be played by Iran for the time they need to manufacture nuclear weapons. Israel will not wait for Obama to realize his error and will launch their own attack on Iran. Israel may not be able to slow or stop Iran’s ambitions using conventional weapons. There is about a 30% chance that a nuclear exchange will happen during or as a result of the Israeli attack. Israel will probably act shortly after they hold new elections if not sooner.
President Obama is going to be ill prepared to deal with the escalating crisis in the Middle East since the U.S. economy will sink into a near depression state combined with a falling dollar and unexpected inflationary pressures. To magnify the domestic problems, a probable nuclear or dirty bomb explosion will happen in a major metropolitan area of the nation. These events will diminish America’s role in world events. The U.S. will be forced to pull back from its military and diplomatic leadership role in the world.
The American public will be convinced that the state of the economy is a result of the policies of President Bush and Republicans instead of misguided legislation recently passed by Congress and President Obama. A President Obama will continue his hypnotic oratory, pandering to the public and Internet mass communication to maintain his favorability rating. Obama will have already implemented some controls on his critics curtailing much public free political speech.
The sinking state of the American economy is going to breed a group of citizens who will see through Obama’s rhetoric and become radically opposed to President Obama. There is a 50-50 chance that an assassination will be attempted. If so, it will not succeed but Obama may be critically injured. As he recovers from his injury, finally the U.S. economy will begin to improve. He will emerge with even more followers and become regarded by them as a messianic leader and savior of the United States.
As America regains her strength and President Obama gains more believers world wide, he will re-assert a U.S. world presence. However, military and diplomatic challenges will abound from his previous lost and failed policies. Israel will exist at this time but probably in a smaller and weakened state after years of conflict.
The U.S. will also be much weaker and will be unable to regain its previous world clout. The attempt to do so, however, will either leave us even weaker or lead to our partial demise. Near the end of President Obama’s first term, the United States will either go down the wrong path to world peace or we will fall in line behind a new world leader even more charismatic than President Obama. If not by Obama then by this new leader will be taken to our demise during President Obama’s second term.
I have related just one possible outcome as I see it over the next several years. Let’s hope the fate of the United States is not already carved in stone and we will be able to find a way to avoid such a scenario from happening in our lifetimes.
