If just one of your sites is earning only a few dollars a day, and you are running it on WordPress, then you should know:

It's much worse if your sites are making more. The more they make, the more this will potentially hurt you.

Even the very company that is responsible for creation of the wordpress code base was compromised in April 2011.

Matt Mullenweg, the founding developer on wordpress recommended wordpress users change their passwords frequently and keep unique passwords for their website.
