In this highly readable book, Dr. Pollina has connected the dots between bureaucratic mismanagement, self-serving lobbyists and the decline of America's economic and military power and educational system. Because he's done business with both commercial and governmental clients, Dr. Pollina has seen the downturn of the U.S. economy from both sides. He uses the insights he's gleaned from these business dealings to compile a list of reasons for this downturn, and he proffers solutions that would move our country back to the best it can be.

Wow! I just finished reading an advance copy of Selling Out a Superpower and all I can say is, we Americans are in BIG TROUBLE! This book definitely lays out the ground rules on what we need to do to keep America strong and powerful, if only the right people take notice! Selling Out a Superpower is written for the lay-person as well as the intellectual. The writing is supplemented with graphs and figures so we can actually see what the heck is wrong here. Hopefully, this book will get to the right people (i.e., OUR GOVERNMENT!) and America can finally get on the road to recovery. An intense and thought-provoking read. A "self-help" book for America the Beautiful. If you love America, send a copy to your Senators and Congress members. They need this wake-up call a heck of a lot more than our tax dollars!
